'Greening Malvern' Thurs 2nd Nov 2017

28 October 2017

Malvern Hills Green Party present talk entitled 'Greening Malvern' Thurs 2nd Nov 2017, 7.30pm FREE ENTRY.

We have another fantastic talk and discussion planned for Thursday 2nd November 2017, 7.30pm - 9.00pm at Christ Church Hall, Avenue Road, Malvern WR14 3AY.

Our distinguished speaker is Dr Simon Pickering, member of Stroud Green Party, Ecologist and Chair of Stroud District Council Environment Committee, and the subject is 'Greening Malvern - Lessons from Greening Stroud'. Stroud have successfully developed strong, ‘green’ initiatives in their local economy. They have a strong strategy for dealing with or re-using various waste streams including food waste, paint, and furniture. Also, their efforts to promote and support local food producers resulted in measurable benefits to the local economy.

Please join us to discover what lessons we in Malvern can learn from Stroud Green Party’s efforts to ‘green’ Stroud and support a vibrant local economy.

As ever, refreshments available with local food and light snacks including home-made cakes. Doors open for 7pm as food will be available from then while you get a good seat. Entry is free and both members and non-members are welcome, donations appreciated on the night.

Next fundraiser is a Quiz at Malvern Vale Community Centre on Sat 11th November, run by Steve & Shanti by popular demand, and the next branch meeting is on Thurs 7th December 2017 seasonal bring & share social.
