Local elections

County Council Elections are on!

Your Green Party Councillors and candidates across The Malvern Hills are delighted
to have it confirmed that the Worcestershire County Council elections are going
ahead on 1 st May.

Malvern Hills Green Party are standing more candidates than ever before, in every
County Division apart from Powick, which will be defended by our Green and
Independent Alliance colleague Tom Wells.

Natalie McVey, County Councillor and Leader of the Green and Independent
Alliance at Malvern Hills District Council said: “Around the country people are being
denied a vote in local elections in May because ‘Local Government Re-organisation’,
forced on communities by the Labour Government, will abolish many councils,
including Malvern Hills District Council. Now that we know that elections will be held
here, let’s make sure the Government hears form local people at the ballot boxes on
1 st May, and we get as many Green Councillors elected as possible, right across The
Malvern Hills District and beyond
.”

Our target County Council Divisions and candidates are
Natalie McVey is standing to be re-elected in Malvern Trinity Division
Fran Victory is standing to be elected for Malvern Link

We will also be fielding candidates in Malvern Langland (Simon Johnson), Hallow
(Richard Kimberlee) and Tenbury ( Peter Jones). Unfortunately, we do not have the
resources to campaign in these areas, but it is important voters have the opportunity
to express a “Green” preference.
